Advertising spending is defined as total advertising and promotional expense, including media, direct mail, point-of-purchase materials, production, ad department operations, research and other direct costs as reported in annual filings with the SEC.

Advertising Ratios & Budgets reports an estimate for the current year, a forecast for the coming year and historical figure for last year.

Advertising Growth Trends reports five historical years of inflation adjusted spending.

U.S. Sourcebook of Advertisers is a directory of advertisers containing an estimate for the current year ad budget as well as corporate contact information.
